Lab Policies
- Registered students will be given a network account for all machines in the room with 1 GB of network disk space. Data stored on your networked account will be backed up nightly.
- You may use the local disks for temporary storage, but they may be deleted at any time, without prior notice. In addition, data stored on the local disks will not be backed up.
- Be aware that computer activity is logged. You are responsible for all activity on your account; inappropriate activities on your account, such as hacking/cracking, will result in your lab privileges being permanently revoked.
- Please do not turn off the machines.
- No eating or drinking allowed in the lab, except water.
- The lab room must be kept locked at all times. If you need to use the lab, but it is locked, you may borrow a key from us in exchange for a collateral (e.g. picture ID).
- Please report any unusual activity in the lab to an iX staff member asap.
- Please report any missing equipment in the lab to an iX staff member asap.
- This is your lab, take good care of it!
- Please direct all questions regarding the lab to Yvonne Jansen.
