As of October 1, 2007, I am now working full-time at Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, California. Interested in interning at Apple? Check out Apple's intern page. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
I am a 4th year Doctorate student at the Media Computing Group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jan Borchers. My research interests lie in the area of multimedia systems design where time plays a key role in the interaction. Some of the key issues I am currently looking at include representing time in the user interface and designing frameworks for time-based multimedia processing. Some of the projects I am or have been involved with:
Diploma/Masters Thesis students that I have supervised (in order of graduation): Ingo Grüll, Jan Buchholz, Jonathan Klein, Thorsten Karrer, Marius Wolf, Urs Enke, Georgianna Farmaki, Saskia Dedenbach (in progress), Henning Kiel (in progress)
My personal projects/software can be found on my personal homepage at mac.com.
